Sweden's first female prime minister, Magdalena Andersson, presented her one-party center-left minority government on Tuesday with only a few changes compared to the previous cabinet.

She described it as a "good balance between experience and the renewed efforts that are needed" and promised to work hard on improving working conditions and social security. Andersson was formally installed following an audience with King Carl XVI Gustav at a ceremony at the Royal Palace of Stockholm that was also attended by the heir to the throne, Crown Princess Victoria. Former Prime Minister Stefan Lofven stepped down earlier in the day. Sweden’s next general election is scheduled for Sept. 11.
