Support for Sports: Visiting sports facilities in Yangon

Chairman of the Myanmar Olympic Committee Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs and Hotels and Tourism, Jeng Phang Naw Taung, on January 13 inspected training sessions of Myanmar para-athletes who will compete in the 13th ASEAN Para Games.

The Union Minister visited the Myanmar Paralympic Sports Federation in Yangon and encouraged athletes from goalball, boccia, powerlifting, and sitting volleyball. He urged all to try their best to win gold medals and bring honor to the country. Later, the Union Minister visited the Sports and Physical Education Institute (Yangon) and had lunch together with students.

He also met with staff from the Department of Sports and Physical Education and the Institute, and instructed on improving sports performance, education results, and cooperation between sports and education sectors.
