Study Tour: Myanmar delegation in China

Myanmar delegation led by Union Minister for Health Dr. Thet Khaing Win together with the delegation from China and ASEAN member states made a study tour to the commemorative museum for establishing of Traditional Chinese Medicine Industry Development Economic Zone in Fangchenggang on 14th September.

At the museum, the officials clarified the foundation of economic zone and working processes of the museum. The delegation members later viewed around the displayed items of medicines in the museum.

On the 15th of September, the second day meeting of the 7th China-ASEAN Summit for Drug Development and Cooperation was held and related senior officials from Department of Traditional Medicine and Department of Food and Drug Administration took part in the discussions on development of Myanmar traditional medicine industry, policies, conducting research on traditional medicines and cooperation of traditional medicines sector with China-ASEAN member countries.
