Pyithu Hluttaw: 15th day meeting of third regular session

The 15th day meeting of the Third Regular Session of the Third Pyithu Hluttaw was held on October 13 at the Pyithu Hluttaw Meeting Hall in Nay Pyi Taw.

The meeting focused on such issues as plans to appoint doctors and provide medical supplies to the 25-bed hospital and the 16-bed station hospital in Kalewa Township, to fill staff vacancies as quickly as possible and approve funds for operating room renovations at the 100-bed Public Hospital in Aunglan Township and to construct an operating theater and supply a Type (C) Laboratory Set at the station hospital in Heho.

In addition, eight Hluttaw representatives discussed a motion urging the Ministry of Health to establish major outpatient departments and set up advanced specialty hospitals across regional zones to enable international-standard medical treatment.
