Sports Sector: Union Minister inspects sports facilities in Taungoo

To elevate sports standard of Bago Region, Chairman of Myanmar Olympic Committee and Union Minister for Sports Affairs U Ye Myint Tun, accompanied by Region Hluttaw representatives and officials, inspected sport facilities in the region on Thursday.

At Taungoo District sports stadium, the Union Minister inspected the facility and instructed for security measures, indoor and outdoor cleanliness and beautification works, stadium preservation. The Union Minister also emphasized on expanding land area, with cleaning and beautification works and sufficient irrigated water access for greening of football field. 

The Union Minister also inspected installation of water tank and instructed for systematic renovation of inner fencing. He also highlighted to train the next generation athletes, representing the region in sports competitions. Upon reports by the officials, the Union Minister coordinated the needs.
