Sports Sector: Chief Minister Attends Award Ceremony in Dawei

The Tanintharyi Region’s Under-18 Basic Education Student Sports (Men's) Football Tournament Final and Award Ceremony for the 2025-2026 academic year was held in the evening of September 24 at the Shweweltiri Sports Stadium in Dawei Township.

The Regional Chief Minister U Myat Ko and many other concerned officials as well as sports enthusiasts watched the final match between the Dawei team and the Yebyu team in which the Dawei team won 11-0. Then, awarding ceremonies were held also for the other sports contests with the attendance of the Chief Minister and many other concerned officials.

It is reported that the Regional Chief Minister U Myat Ko also presented championship trophies to the teams that won first prize in the Under-18 Basic Education Student Sports (Women's/Men's) competitions for Football, Volleyball, Sepak Takraw, Track and Field, Badminton, Table Tennis and Basketball.
