Sports Activity : Commemorating the ASEAN Sports Day

A Sports Activity marking the 2025 ASEAN Sports Day was held at the Sports and Physical Education Institute in Yangon on Saturday. Chairman of Myanmar Olympic Committee Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs and Hotels and Tourism Jeng Phang Naw Taung attended the event and made a speech.

He urged athletes to strive to become outstanding athletes, bringing prestige to the nation. The activities included collective race led by the Union Minister, ASEAN Quiz and relay race. Awards were presented to the first, second and third place winners.

The ASEAN Sports Day Activity was adopted during the 8th Senior Officials Meeting on Sports and 2nd  ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Sports, hosted in Myanmar in 2018. The activities have been held since 2019 across ASEAN member states.
