Sports Activities: Yangon Region Students' Sports Festival

2025-2026 Academic Year Yangon Region Students' Sports Festival commenced on Friday. CHief Minister U Soe Thein attended the opening ceremony, held at No.4 Basic Education School in Ahlone Township.

The students' columns marched into the sports ground, and saluted the Chief Minister. In his speech, the Chief Minister urged all to strive for becoming the selected athletes, bringing prestige to the region and the nation as a whole.

This was followed by recitation of four-point sports oath, and explanation on the sports festival. The ceremony also featured the performance of students from various high schools. In the opening football event, Insein District Team won the match over Thanlyin District team with 1-0.
