Sports activities: Marking 74th Anniversary of Independence Day

Multi-Ministerial sports competitions to commemorate the 74th Independence Day continued to be held at the respective stadiums at WunnaTheikdi Sports Complex, Nay Pyi Taw.

Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn, Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs U Min TheinZan, Deputy Minister U Myo Hlaing and officials, and sports enthusiastsattended the event and supported the competitions.

The Union Ministers and the Deputy Minister watched the final matches of women and men volleyball teams, the final match of SepakTakraw (men) team and the final match of Futsal (men) teams of the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Defence and awarded the teams.

On 4thJanuary from 7 am, men’s/women’s 100-metre, 200-metre, 400-metre and 800-metre races, tug of war competitions (men/women)and htoke-see-toe competitions werealso held at WunnaTheikdi Sports Complex.
