
South Korean President Moon Jae-in and his wife Kim Jung-Sook attended a gala dinner with the King and Queen of Spain Tuesday as the two countries seek to deepen economic ties.
At the dinner King Felipe VI, accompanied by his wife Queen Letizia, spoke of the common ties between the two countries and their mutual respect for the rule of law and the protection of human rights. During his two-day stay, Moon was also due to meet with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez and other members of the government, as well as attend a business event in Barcelona on Wednesday evening. Moon's visit to Spain is the first by a South Korean president in 14 years.
