South Korea–Sri Lanka partnership boosts energy efficiency

South Korea and Sri Lanka boosted energy cooperation with the official inauguration of a specialized Energy Efficiency Testing Laboratory in Ja-Ela on Thursday. Funded by South Korea through the Korea Energy Agency, the facility improves certification standards for high-consumption appliances like air conditioners to drive down national electricity demand.

It also aligns with Sri Lanka's push for green technology, policy consultation, and sustainable economic restructuring.
