Social Welfare Assistance: Knowledge of Human Rights Affairs Conducted

Myanmar National Human Rights Commission conducted an Online Training on Knowledge of Human Rights Affairs to the officials from the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement.

Union Minister Dr Thet Thet Khaing attended the opening ceremony, held on Tuesday, and made a speech. The Union Minister said the ministry is providing social welfare assistance to the venerable group of people including children, women, persons with disabilities and elder persons, as well as victims of disasters, drug addicts and human trafficking victims.

Moreover, the Ministry is providing counseling works for those affecting from social conflicts. She said the personnel who are taking responsibility for these tasks, are needed to understand the basic ethics of the society.

She urged all to apply the knowledge gained from the training in their practical work fields, and served the best of their duties for the country and its people. 30 officers from the ministry are attending the 3-day training course which provide knowledge on human rights.
