Social Welfare Activities: Union Minister Inspected Social Welfare Activities

Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr. Thet Thet Khaing met with the staff members of the department of social welfare and department of disaster management in the guest house of District General Administration Department, Kyauk Phyu Township of Rakhine State on December 19.

At the meeting, the union minister explained the status of implementing for the development of social development tasks and disaster management tasks by setting the plans and the need of cooperation by every single person with the organizational spirit and then union minister fulfilled requirements on the reports.

Next, the union minister and officials visited preschool in Ann Township, met with the staff members and coordinated necessaries.

On December 20, the union minister visited the Vocational Training School of Domestic Science for Women established by the Ministry of Border Affairs in Ann Township, clarified the implementations of women’s development activities and viewed the giving lectures on the domestic vocational skills.

In the evening, the union minister arrived at Thandwe Township and inspected the land plots where the pre-school under the social welfare department and the office of the head officer of the disaster management department in Thandwe Township will be constructed.

Then, the union minister arrived at the office of district officer of disaster management department and, met with the staff members and tended the requirements.

Next, the union minister went to the warehouse of Thandwe District head officer’s office and inspected status of storing 22 relief items in line with the warehouse manual and storage of materials for the regional development.
