The new bridge was built by the Bridge Department under the Ministry of Construction using reinforced concrete pile foundations and earthquake-resistant High Damping Rubber Bearing (HDRB) Unseat Prevention technology. Construction began in October 2025 and was completed in July 2026. Motor vehicles are now allowed to use the new bridge from July 10.
