Smooth Commodity Flow: Myanmar-China Officials Cooperate For Trade Promotion

In order to ensure smooth commodity flow between Myanmar and China, the two countries are working together to facilitate the trans-shipment of goods at the border trading camps of Kan Pike Tee and Lehjel in Kachin State.
In addition, the necessary preparations are being made for those border gates to become international border gates.
Minister of Social Affairs, Kachin State Government, Win Ye Htun said “Regarding with Kan Pike Tee to be an international border gate, preparations and plans are being made for labor, immigration and population related-issues in advance by Kachin State. Since banana cultivating season is over, the trade has been slowed down. Both countries make cooperation for this issue and entrepreneurs and traders from both countries want this issue to be successful.”

Aiming to facilitate the commodity flow of goods across the border and to improve trade, the Kachin State Government is working in conjunction with the responsible individuals and business associations of the other country.
