Smart Street Light: 10,559 Lamp Posts Are Set Up In Mandalay In 2019-2020 FY

A total of 10,559 lamp posts are being set up in Mandalay this 2019-2020 fiscal year and they will be switched on and off by the smart street light control system, according to the Mandalay City Development Committee.

By applying the street dimming system, the light will be reduced automatically at the time when the numbers of passers-by are less so that it will reduce electricity consumption. Mandalay City Development Committee said 10,559 lamp posts will be set up in 2019-2020 fiscal year and the task will prioritize on the main roads.

754 lamp posts donated by well-wishers will be installed on the branch streets. Well-wishers donated 1,689 single arm lamp posts and over 1000 double arm till the last week of May, according to the Mandalay City Development Committee.
