Electoral matters: UEC chairman receives Chinese Ambassador

Chairman of the Union Election Commission U Ko Ko received H.E. Mr. Chen Hai, ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and party at the office of UEC in Nay Pyi Taw on Friday.

During the meeting, Chinese ambassador enquired and discussed the status of ongoing process for the election implementing by the UEC, political parties and assistance for the election. Then, UEC chairman clarified the current undertaking by UEC, law and by-laws for holding of election, voter list, registration of political parties, and cooperation between the two countries in electoral processes. They then exchanged memorable gifts and concluded the meeting.
