Bilateral Meeting: Further strengthening of bilateral relations and cooperation

President U Min Aung Hlaing and Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim held a bilateral meeting in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday, discussing ways to further strengthen relations and cooperation between the two countries, including development, defence and security, trade and investment, and cooperation for the benefit of the peoples of both countries.

During the meeting, the two leaders exchanged views on development affairs in Myanmar, cooperation in defence and security, and measures to enhance bilateral collaboration. They also discussed cooperation in combating online gambling and scams, eradicating drug trafficking, and preventing cross-border crimes.

Following the bilateral meeting, the two leaders attended a joint media conference, where they highlighted their commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations through people-centred cooperation in areas including trade, investment, education, agri-food, energy, healthcare and capacity building.
