A 3.7-magnitude earthquake hit about 16 miles southwest of Mawlaik Township on Thursday, according to the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology.

The slight earthquake in Sagaing Region with a depth of 14 kilometers occurred at about 1:27 a.m. Myanmar Standard Time.
