South Korean rescue workers arrived at Gaziantep airport in southeastern Turkiye on Wednesday to help with the rescue efforts after a devastating earthquake. The team is comprised of more than 60 members of the Korea Disaster Relief Team and 50 military personnel. Turkiye now has some 60,000 aid personnel in the quake-hit zone, but with the devastation so widespread many are still waiting for help.

Meanwhile, Japan dispatched its second team of Japan disaster relief urban relief and rescue team to Turkiye on Tuesday evening in response to the strong earthquake. The team consisted of 55 members including four search dogs. The first half of the team departed for Turkey on Monday.
