SKorea says leaked US documents largely fabricated

A senior official from the South Korean presidential office said Tuesday that South Korea and the U.S. agreed that a considerable amount of leaked U.S. intel documents, including parts alleging internal conversations between South Korean presidential officials, were fabricated.

The Justice Department has launched an investigation into the possible release of Pentagon documents that were posted on several social media sites and appear to detail U.S. and NATO aid to Ukraine, but may have been altered or used as part of a misinformation campaign.

Korea's first deputy national security advisor said the leaked documents won’t undermine its alliance with the United States, and they intend to use the opportunity to strengthen the two countries' cooperation.
