Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong will be in Japan from Tuesday to Thursday, where he will meet his Japanese counterpart Sanae Takaichi. The official visit takes place as the two countries mark 60 years of ties, and is part of Prime Minister Wong’s introductory visits to key partners in the region.

“The visit also signals what Singapore has described as a “new chapter” in bilateral ties. Earlier this month, Senior Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sim Ann said Singapore and Japan are looking to elevate relations as both sides deepen cooperation on various fronts.”
