




Singapore has introduced the new Digital Infrastructure Bill in parliament, to set mandatory licensing rules for major data centers and cloud service providers. The Infocomm Media Development Authority will oversee two distinct frameworks administered under the bill.
Violations can result in fines up to 1 million dollars or up to 10% of annual turnover in Singapore. If the bill passed, operators aim to secure licenses by mid-2027, with industry stakeholders requesting adequate transition periods to retrofit older infrastructure.
