Shanghai Pudong History Museum Opens to Public

The Shanghai Pudong History Museum, presenting the past and present of Pudong in Shanghai three-dimensionally, officially opened on Thursday. Pudong History Museum, located in Dongcheng District, Huinan Town, Pudong, Shanghai, was formerly known as Nanhui Museum.

After two years of renovation, the new exhibition hall presents the historical development of Pudong in a small but refined way with rich exhibition content and diverse exhibition methods. In the fixed exhibition hall of 1,000 square meters, many precious cultural relics unearthed in Pudong area allow the audience to savor the long historical context of Pudong, including the celadon-glazed pot with dragon and phoenix pattern and lotus leaf cover unearthed in the original Nanhui County.

The Pudong History Museum, together with the Pudong Development Exhibition Hall and the Pudong Exhibition Hall, form a coherent historical evolution line of Pudong’s past, present and future in the development pattern of Pudong cultural and museum venues.
