Shanghai Hospital Implements World's First Creative Treatment Plan for Refractory Asthma

There are about 45 million adult asthma patients in China, and a certain proportion of them can’t treated through regular plan. This group of people's disease is called refractory asthma.

Shanghai Dongfang Hospital announced on Thursday that it has successfully implemented the world's first Chinese treatment plan for refractory asthma and will simultaneously carry out pre-market clinical trials in eight hospitals across the country.

The next step for eight domestic hospitals including Dongfang Hospital, is to recruit 189 adult patients with refractory asthma to complete the Phase III clinical trial and follow-up treatment.
