Severe weather alert for India’s Jammu and Kashmir

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday issued a severe weather alert for Jammu and Kashmir as an active Western Disturbance is expected to bring strong winds and heavy snowfall across the region.

According to the IMD, weather conditions are likely to deteriorate from Monday, significantly impacting both the Kashmir Valley and parts of the Jammu region. The adverse weather may lead to disruptions in daily life, transportation and essential services.
