Severe monsoon flood kills over 80 in multiple states of India

Intense monsoon rains have caused severe floods and landslides across multiple Indian states, with the death toll in Assam alone reaching 80. Heavy downpours also affected states such as Kerala, Gujarat, Odisha, Jammu and Kashmir, and Himachal Pradesh. Kerala and Jammu Kashmir witnessed intense flash floods, cloudbursts, and swelling rivers requiring dam spillway adjustments.
