








The Coordination Meeting No. (1/2026-2027) of the State Economic Promotion Fund Management Committee was held Tuesday morning at the Ministry of Finance and Revenue, Office No. (26), in Nay Pyi Taw.
The meeting was attended by Union Ministers Dr. Kan Zaw, U Min Naung, U Myo Zaw Thein, and Dr. Charlie Than, Deputy Minister U Min Min, Permanent Secretaries, and responsible officials. During the meeting, Committee Chairman Union Minister Dr. Kan Zaw discussed the implementation of special programs for country’s economic development and the status of completed activities.
Union Minister U Min Naung discussed agricultural and livestock projects and the implementation of the Rice Export Zone project for overseas shipments. Union Minister U Myo Zaw Thein discussed the implementation of monsoon paddy, summer paddy, winter crops, and cotton cultivation.
Union Minister Dr. Charlie Than discussed the disbursement of MSME development loans and oil mill industry development loans to regions and states. Deputy Minister U Min Min discussed agricultural and livestock export activities and the status of input supplies.
Afterward, the Committee Secretary presented the status of actions taken on the resolutions of the (3/2025) meeting. Regarding proposals for additional loan disbursements and loan extensions from the State Economic Promotion Fund, committee members and attendees provided collective recommendations and discussions.
Union Minister Dr. Kan Zaw then delivered concluding remarks. The State Economic Promotion Fund Management Committee, in collaboration with Region and State governments and Self-Administered Division and Zone administrative bodies, is systematically overseeing the effective and efficient utilization of the state economic promotion funds provided by the State, it’s reported.
