





National Security Adviser and Union Minister at the President’s Office U Tin Aung San led a delegation to Moscow from May 25 to 31 at the invitation of Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu.
On May 26, the delegation attended the First International Security Forum which was held under the theme "Countering Neocolonialism as a Priority for Ensuring Security of the Global Majority Countries".
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Mr Dmitry Chernshenko gave an opening speech, followed by the remarks of second Secretary of the Russian Security Council Mr Alexander Venediktov, Union Minister U Tin Aung San, Rector of Moscow University's International Relations and Vice Chairman of the Federation Council.
On May 27, the delegation participated in the 6th ASEAN-Russia Consultations of High Representatives for Security Issues and exchanged views on regional and global security issues, strategic stability, arms control, and non-traditional security challenges.
On the 28, the delegation attended the 14th High-Level Meeting of High Representatives for Security Issues, where President Valdimir Putin sent a video message. During the tour, Myanmar signed agreements with Russia on establishing a joint information security center and a cooperation plan on international information security for 2026–2029.
The delegation also held bilateral meetings with senior security officials from Russia, Belarus, Thailand, China, and India, to discuss cooperation in security, economy, investment, and technology exchange.
The delegation also took part in the Roundtable Talks while visiting the exhibitions as well as Russian technology, healthcare, and financial institutions. They also visited the memorial statue titled “Allies of Myanmar Warriors” at Patriot Park in the Moscow region, in tribute to those who fought during World War II, and laid a wreath with an honor guard.
