SEAGF Council Meeting: MoSYA Union Minister Attended The Meeting Online

The South East Asian Games Federation (SEAGF) Council meeting to hold the South East Asian Countries’ Games (SEA GAMES) successfully was held via Video Conferencing System and the members of SEAGF Office and chairmen of the Olympic Committee of ASEAN countries attended.

The Chairman of Myanmar Olympic Committee, Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs U Min Thein Zan, Committee General Secretary Deputy Minister U Myo Hlaing, Director-General of Sports and Physical Fitness Department and committee members attended the meeting from Office No (31), Nay Pyi Taw through Video Conferencing System.

As the meeting agenda, the meeting was opened with the introducing speech of the chairmen of the Olympic Committee of ASEAN countries. The Chairman of Myanmar Olympic Committee, Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs U Min Thein Zan said that Myanmar will participate in the (31st) SEA GAMES and (32nd) SEA GAMES, will cooperate with the member countries for the successfully holding the Games.

Myanmar will join hand at its best with the ASEAN countries for the development of the regional sports.

The Chairman of Olympic Committee of Vietnam which will host the (31st) SEA GAMES clarified that the GAMES will feature 526 sport events of 40 sports and be held in 12 Cities of Vietnam from May 12 to 23 of 2022.

The Chairman of Olympic Committee of Cambodia which will host the (32nd) SEA GAMES clarified that the GAMES will be held in 5 Cities of Cambodia from May 5 to 17 of 2023.

Then, the Olympic committees of ASEAN countries collectively discussed the matters on opening and closing ceremonies and accommodation for the athletes to hold (31st) SEA GAMES successfully, healthcare, transportation, admission card for the athletes and other issues.

The meeting decided and approved the appointment of chairman of the Olympic Committee of Cambodia which will host (32nd) SEA GAMES as Co-Chair of South East Asian Games Federation (SEAGF).
