




The Tatmadaw Sea-going Mobile Hospital Vessel (Thanlwin) with the Medical Teams comprised of specialists, medical officers and nurses from Tatmadaw and the Ministry of Health onboard is on the tour to provide medical services to the residents of Rakhine State Coastal region.
On 8th of March, the eye patients from KyaukNiMaw Village and neighboring villages who underwent the eye operation were carried out the healthcare services on the hospital ship and provided eye glasses, nutrient foods and medicines. Then, the eye patients who underwent the eye operation were taken to the station hospital of KyaukNiMaw Village with Tatmadaw boat.
Likewise, the mobile medical teams based at the station hospital of KyaukNiMaw Village in Rambye Township and provided healthcare services to 846 local residents from KyaukNiMaw Village and neighboring villages.
The mobile medical team provided medical services, surgical operations obstetric/gynecologic diseases, pediatric diseases, orthopedic diseases, Ear Nose Throat related diseases, eye diseases and dental diseases.
Moreover, the medical team also carried out the general operation for one patient, examining one patient with X-ray, 47 patients with ultrasound scan, 49 patients with ECG and 4 patients with lab tests. And the team made necessary arrangements for one patient who need medical services at the hospital to receive medical treatments at the nearest Tatmadaw hospitals.
On providing healthcare service by the Sea-going Mobile Hospital Vessel (Thanlwin), the local residents expressed their happiness and words of thanks.
Eye patient, Local resident, said " I had a cataract over one year and suffered from vision impaired. When I saw the doctor of this hospital vessel and he carried out operation immediately. Now, I can see clearly. Other eye patients told me that they have recovered well. I’m greatly thankful and wished for the Senior General to enjoy good things like we are happy now."
Volunteer, Local resident, said " I arrange the list of patients here. The mobile medical team comes to our village to provide medical treatment inspired me to volunteer. The medical specialists, doctors and nurses gave treatment with benevolence systematically. All people of our village are happy to know the Hospital Vessel (Thanlwin) coming to our village. I’d like to express my thanks to the Commander In chief of Defese Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing who sent the hospital vessel on behalf of all people of the village. May Senior General Min Aung have good health and long life."
