Science and technology: MoST Union Minister visited universities in Russia

Myanmar delegation led by the Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr. Myo Thein Kyaw who are currently in Russian Federation to attend the research exploratory journey and 12th ATOMEXPO 2022 accompanied by Myanmar Ambassador to Russian federation U Lwin Oo and officials paid courtesy call to the Minister of Science and Higher Education H.E Valery Falkov in the morning on November 14.   

At the meeting, they cordially exchanged views on the matters on sending scholarship students, increasing number of scholarship, cooperation of the universities and the collaboration of Myanmar and Russian for the science and technological development and the mutual discussion took place.

Next, Myanmar delegation visited National Research University Moscow Power Engineering Institute (MPEI), met with the university faculty members led by the rector Alexander Bryukhoveskovoe and discussed the matter for the more effectiveness of scholarship programs.  

Then, the union minister and members met with the university faculty members led by the rector Vladimir Schevchenko of the National Research Nuclear University (MEPhI), viewed the teaching and learning, practical teaching rooms and research works and discussed the matters on the science and technological sector and the human resource development, it’s learnt.
