









Deputy Minister for Science and Technology Dr. Aung Zeya visited the University of Information Technology (UIT) in Yangon on October 1st.
He emphasized the need to produce skilled IT professionals who can contribute to national development, especially in AI and digital technologies. He encouraged practical research that benefits society and visited ongoing semester exams, observing students taking tests peacefully. He also viewed student achievements in AI and cybersecurity competitions and promised to improve facilities to foster innovation.
The Deputy Minister also donated IT books to the university library. Later, he visited Yangon Technological University and Government Technical Institutes in Insein and Hmawbi, where he observed engineering students taking exams. He inspected computer labs and exam rooms, donated academic and general books, and urged teachers to nurture future engineers who can serve the country.
