



School Health Week Campaign for 2022-2023 academic year was held in Nay Pyi Taw on Thursday.
The Campaign was jointly organized by the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Education. Union Minister Dr Nyunt Pe made a speech, saying that it is important to nurture the students to consume the healthy foods, to take care for personal hygiene, sanitation, and prevention against infectious diseases.
Union Minister Dr Thet Khaing Win also said that school health activities are very important and providing the students to study in the healthy body could help achieve the education promotion of the country. The School Health Week Campaign is scheduled to be held from 7th to 13th August at the basic education schools, private schools and monastic education schools, and it will be covered for about 6.6 million students.
The Union Ministers and officials later visited No.6 Basic Education High School in Zabuthiri Township, and viewed the school-based activities for dengue fever prevention, and display of nutritious foods. Facemasks, hand sanitizers and toothpaste boxes were also provided for the students.
The Union Ministers and officials later administered the Anthelmintics to the students, provided iron supplements and nutritious foods. They also encouraged the students, participating in the school health week campaign activities.
