During the ceremony, the Chief Minister U Aunt Maw delivered an opening speech, saying that in line with this year’s School Enrollment Day slogan, “For the continuous development of the nation, let all school-age children enroll in school,” everyone present should cooperate and participate in ensuring that all school-age children are able to attend school and that children’s educational standards are improved.

Afterward, the Chief Minister presented school uniforms and cash awards to the teachers and education staff, as well as free textbooks and stationery for high school students. The Speaker of the State Hluttaw and the Regional Military Operations Commander also presented clothing allowances, cash awards, free textbooks, and stationery to administrative staff and middle and primary-school students. Responsible officials and students received the items.

Next, the State Education Officer gave a presentation regarding the 2026–2027 School Enrollment Day activities.

Following that, the Chief Minister and officials visited Basic Education High School (Branch) Lawdhamma, No. (3) Basic Education Middle School, and No. (2) Basic Education High School in Loikaw Township. There, they observed parents enrolling their children in school, presented school uniforms and school supplies to students, and warmly met and spoke with parents, guardians, and students who had come for enrollment, it’s reported.
