School Enrollment: Chief Minister Attends Ceremonies On Academic Matter

The signboard on the school enrollment week to have learning opportunities for all school-age children was set up at No.1 Basic Education High School in Taunggyi, Shan State (South) on 19th May. Shan State Chief Minister Dr KyawTun, the State Social Affairs Minister and the State Education Officer formally opened the signboard. The State Chief Minister, the State Ministers and officials then attended the fresher welcoming ceremony for 2022-2023 academic year of Taunggyi University.

At the event, the Chief Minister extended greetings and called on the students to follow the school disciplines and try hard in school lessons. There are 1,958 students who have been admitted for 1st year and 653 participants attended the ceremony.

Likewise, the Chief Minister and party also attended the welcoming ceremony of first year students of Taunggyi Degree College and Education Degree College of the Teacher Training Department. This academic year, 4th year, 1st year (second semester) and 1st year (first semester) courses will be opened from May 12th  to August 31st.

Taunggyi Education Degree College will accept 226 first year (second semester) students and 157 first year (first semester) students. At the ceremony, the Chief Minister presented sports gears for the college provided by the State government to the Headmistress.

There are 255 students who have enrolled for the 1st year (second semester) and the 1st year (first semester) in the education degree college for 2022-2023 academic year.
