Sanae Takaichi: 'We campaigned for a responsible, proactive fiscal approach'

Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi arrived on stage at the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) headquarters, as her party is expected to regain a large majority in the lower house of parliament following early legislative elections, according to Japanese media projections.

"What they sought was the public's judgment on a major shift in economic and fiscal policy. They campaigned for a responsible, proactive fiscal approach," Sanae Takaichi said in front of Japanese and foreign media.
