S. Korea and US test fire missiles

South Korea and the US fired a Hyunmoo-II ballistic missile and an Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS) missile into the East Sea on Wednesday.The South Korean military explained the response was aimed at highlighting their and the US military's rapid response capabilities.Earlier, North Korea test-launched a suspected intercontinental ballistic missile and two shorter-range weapons toward its eastern waters Wednesday. This came hours after President Joe Biden ended a trip to Asia where he reaffirmed the US commitment to defend its allies in the face of the North’s nuclear threat.
