Russia Visit : Acting President Visits Space Corporation

Acting President and Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, who is on a working visit to the Russian Federation, met and held discussions with Mr. Dmitry V. Bakanov, Director General of the Russian Federation's State Space Corporation "Roscosmos," at the Roscosmos Headquarters on Friday.

Before the discussion, the Acting President and his delegation toured and observed the Roscosmos Headquarters building, including a display of satellite models that Roscosmos has launched into space, and the control room directly connected to the satellites in orbit.

They then engaged in a question-and-answer session on the briefings and presentations given by the Director General of Roscosmos and responsible officials.

In the discussion, they frankly and openly exchanged views and discussed matters concerning enhancing space technology cooperation, human resource development related to space technology, cooperation in the field of exploration and use of outer space for peaceful purposes, satellite launching and sending scholarship trainees for courses related to space technology.
