Russia fleet in Syria holds parade to celebrate Navy Day

Russian navy held a parade in its only overseas base in Tartus, Syria, on July 26. at the Tartus Port, the celebration of the Russian fleet lasted from 10am to 2pm local time. Vessels and aircraft under review were the Kilo-class nuclear submarine Novorossiysk, the Admiral Makarov frigate and jet fighters including Su-35 and Su-34.

The commander-in-chief of the Russian troops in Syrian, the commander-in-chief of the Syrian army, and representatives of the governments of both countries watched the parade and artistic performances. The two sides vowed to continue deepening military cooperation while Syria was suffering from sanctions from some countries as well its civil war.
