










Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe, together with officials, visited Yedashe Township in Bago Region on 30th July.
They inspected digging of artisan wells, construction of water tank and solar powered water pumping project. The projects are being implemented by the Department of Rural Development in GyoPinTha Village, with the allotted budget of the Regional Government in 2022-2023 fiscal year.
The Union Minister also met with the local villagers and said that priorities have been made for construction the infrastructure buildings, rural electrification, water supply and roads and bridges which are essential for socio-economic development of rural people.
He added that the necessary provisions are being provided for increasing incomes through agriculture and livestock breeding. He urged officials to supervise for completion of the project within the targeted time with set standard. The project will benefit over 2,000 people from 475 households in 4 villages.
The Union Minister later arrived at YunShan Farm Support Camp, and discussed that a cooperative association will be formed with the comprised of farmers from the adjacent fields to start a pilot project in the upcoming summer paddy season. He urged concerned officials to draft a work plan in cooperation with the private entrepreneurs and farmers.
The Union Minister also met with the farmers from 41 villages from 4 village-tract, and discussed to engage agriculture and livestock breeding works for income generation, construction of roads, availability of irrigated water and agriculture inputs.
The Union Minister and party later inspected concrete paving on NyaungPinKaing -Ywathit Road, being implemented by Rural Road Development Department with the fund of regional government. The road could benefit over 3,300 people from 3 villages.
The Union Minister and party later arrived at ThanLwin Fried Potato Business in Taunggoo, and stressed the needs to become a responsible business which could help create job opportunities for local people and contribute for increasing GDP rate for the country.
