Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture held a work coordination meeting on the publication of the History of Myanmar Culture at its LawKaNat conference hall on Friday.
Union Minister U Tin Oo Lwin attended the meeting and made a speech. Union Minister stressed the need to compile previously published books, pamphlets, and documents into a concise volume accessible to the public. He called for adding information on Myanmar’s history, culture, socio-economics, and customs. He highlighted the importance of inclusion of traditional customs of ethnic troupes across regions and states.
The Union Minister urged the National University of Arts and Culture, along with relevant departments, to cooperate in the book publication with guidance from prominent Myanmar historians.
And, Deputy Minister Daw Nu Mra Zan outlined plans to compile Myanmar’s cultural history by relevant fields and divide it into content topics. Also, officials from departments, universities, and senior historians from the Myanmar History Association discussed and proposed historical information to be included.
