Returning Home: Myanmar accepts returnees at respective border gates

Myanmar citizens returning from abroad are being accepted at the respective border gates and on 31st December, a total of 172 Myanmar nationals including 101 males and 71 females returned to Muse of northern Shan State, 4 males to Shin Shwe Haw and 3 males and 2 females totaling 5 returned to Laukkai. On 1st December, 119 males and 79 females totaling 198 came back Myawady of Kayin State.

Officials accepted the returnees at the respective places. Officials from concerned People’s hospitals and members of Tatmadaw Medical Corps conducted medical screenings for COVID-19 test to them, making the documents for quarantine and raising health awareness.

Officials from respective military commands and departmental officials provided necessary assistance and transported them to the respective places. Those who were detected with Covid-19 were placed separately at the designated places and provided the needs to them.
