Returnees From Thailand: Myanmar Migrant Workers Continue To Return From Thailand

169 Myanmar migrant workers including 106 males and 63 females returned from Thailand in their own arrangement through Thai-Myanmar Friendship Bridge in Myawady from 6 a.m to 12 noon of 14th September.

Most of the returnees are expected mothers and children, those working in Thailand and people who were cut off their jobs due to closing factories and workshops.

The medical screenings, taking necessary data and body temperature screening have been conducted to them. Myawaddy District Administrator and officials welcomed them at the border gate and with the provision of the World Food Programme (WFP), food and water were delivered to the returnees.

They would be transported to the respective quarantine centers to monitor for 14 days.
