Restoration Efforts : Rehabilitation and cleanup work underway in Chin State

Rehabilitation and cleanup work is being carried out in Chin State, following damage caused by the terrorist acts.

Government staff and local residents joined cleanup activities in Vlay Ward of Falam, removing debris and clearing damaged areas. Debris and overgrown vegetation were also removed from the damaged No. 3 Basic Education High School.

Major repairs to the school building are also being planned. Rehabilitation work was also carried out at Surbung  Airport, where parts of the airport buildings, equipment and runway were damaged.

In Tedim Township, officials, government staff and residents carried out cleanup work along roads, and cleared vegetation around drainage areas, along with the construction of the retaining wall. Similar community cleanup activities were also conducted in Tonzang as part of ongoing town rehabilitation and reconstruction efforts.
