






The Myanmar Pulses, Beans & Sesame Seeds Merchants Association (MPBSMA) has been issuing recommendation of export license for international seaborne trade settlement in US dollars, started from 1st July. The Department of Trade is directed to grants an export license with the presence of the recommendations from the MPBSMA.
The export earning can make pre-exchange or payment can be made no later than over 1 month after conducting export.
Tun Lwin, Chairman, MPBSMA said "Our association can verify and approve applications for trading by sea and export pulses, beans, sesame seeds. We have notified the member companies of export recommendation requirements to seek an export license for exports of corn, various beans and pulses. Those companies can apply for recommendation and we will issue the recommendation of the export license within a day. The submitted applications must be included the contract signed with sellers, a copy of the contract, and company information. "
Recommendations have been issued since 13th July for over 44,000 tons of various pulses worth 34 million US dollars till 18th July. There are 500 companies members in the Myanmar Pulses, Beans & Sesame merchants Association.
