Replanting of Trees : Efforts for greening environs

Ceremony of replanting teak trees and clearing weeds was held in the compound of Central Training School, in Ottarathiri Township on Saturday with the attendance of Union Minister for Electric Power U Nyan Tun, officials and staff.

At the venue, the Union Minister and officials replanted the teak trees at the designated places simultaneously. Then, they observed the replanting of teak trees by staff. Afterwards, the Union Minister and officials viewed the clearing of weeds, thriving of teak trees, seasonal vegetables and perennial crops in the compound.

Likewise, the departments and offices under the Ministry also conducted the replanting of teak trees and clearing weeds. A total of over 55,000 trees were planted by the Ministry of Electric Power in 2024 and 2025.
