








Deputy Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Aye Tun, accompanied by concerned officials paid homage to the pagoda constructed by Patron Sayadaw of Aung ChanThar Pariyatti Monastery in AungBan Township, Shan State on 4th September.
During their visit, they met with the pagoda's board of trustees and conducted a thorough inspection of the retaining walls and the parquet flooring installation in the pagoda's cave in a systematic manner.
Later in the evening, the Deputy Minister and party proceeded to the Shwe TaungTan Monastic Education Post-Primary School of the Chairman Sayadaw of the Shan State (South) Monastic Education Supervisory Committee (Central).
There, the Deputy Minister addressed issues related to balancing student and teacher numbers, orderly acceptance of school transfers, providing textbooks and attendance permits only for designated classes, in accordance with the Ministry of Education's policies.
Upon arrival at Shan State Buddhist University, the Deputy Minister reviewed the Ministry’s efforts to translate the 53 Tripitakat treatises into English and received guidance from the Sayadaw on the university’s cooperation in this project.
On September 5th, they continued their inspection at NaungTaung Tat-U Post-Primary Education School, where they warmly met with teachers and students, urged diligent study and emphasized the importance of regional stability for quality education.
The Deputy Minster and party then encouraged the students learning vocational skills like tailoring, baking, and literature. After that, the Deputy Minister visited Naung Taung Nunnery School, where he discussed issues related to textbook availability and maintaining a balanced student-teacher ratio. He also toured the school library and observed the nuns' peaceful learning.
Next, the Deputy Minister and party inspected the site for the new Religious Department’s office in Hopone Township. After that, they visited the Religious Department’s office in Taunggyi, where they met with the staff and instructed them to work together in unity to successfully accomplish their tasks.
After that, they paid homage to the Chairman Sayadaw of Shan State (South) Sangha Nayaka Committee Presiding patron of Theintaung Pariyatti Monastery, supplicated religious matters and donated offertories.
On 6th September, the Deputy Minister and party visited Dhamma Vidu Monastic Education Post-Primary School in Taunggyi, supplicated religious matters and donated offertories. They then proceed to the training school for Residing Sayadaws in AyeTharYar Town, where they discussed issues related to obtaining new trainees, alms Padetha tree and receiving donation funds from the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture and also made a donation.
During the inspection tour, the Deputy Minister discussed about issues such as teacher applicants for monastic schools must have their personal information verified and sent to township, regions and state education officers before appointment.
Moreover, he informed that the upgrading and opening of new monastic schools have been granted to the facilities situated in the fur-flung areas, operating on the tax-free land.
