Religious Ceremony: Hoisting golden umbrella atop ancient pagoda

A ceremony to hoist a golden umbrella, pennant shaped vane and diamond orb atop the ancient MoeKaung Pagoda took place in the precinct of the Pagoda in OoShitHlaing Village of Lewei Township.

Members of the Sangha, members of the Nay Pyi Taw Council and officials attended the Ceremony which began with taking precepts from the members of the Sangha. The Ceremony continued with religious norms and shared the merits gained.
