Regional Development : Magway Region Investment Committee holds its meeting

The Magway Region Investment Committee held its meeting on September 29 at the Regional Government Office in Magway. The meeting was chaired by Magway Chief Minister U Tint Lwin, along with committee members.

The meeting reported that in the first half of the 2025-2026 fiscal year, the committee approved two investment projects which include one foreign investment in the industrial sector worth 0.966 million US dollar and one local investment worth over 5.9 billion kyat.

These projects are expected to create 120 local jobs. So far, Magway Region has a total of 65 investment projects with 20 foreign and 45 local, operating under Myanmar’s Investment Law. The Chief Minister stressed the importance of promoting investments that use the region's natural resources and potential sectors.

He also highlighted the need to provide clear guidelines and accessible information to investors, and to align all efforts with the national investment policies to support regional economic growth.
